I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this one overall. Not something im going to play every day but as it currently is blasting in my ears i certainly am feeling the vibe a bit more than on past listenings. It’s a challenge though, i’m not going to lie. It has drone elements without droning if that makes any sense. A very rythmic approach to a music that I’m not going to even pretend to say I understand. Much like the music of Naujawanan Baidar (S.R. Safi of The Myrrors) takes us on a trip through Afghan cassette culture here we get a glimpse into traditional Persian music. At times it may seem a bit repetitive then i realize almost all music i love is in one way or another and it all seems to make alot more sense. Each time i listen i get he feeling that i might be wandering through some brialliant foreign market or bazaar so it’s worth the journey. This is basically an album focused on excellent Tambur playing cobined with the tribal like percussive elements.
