Portland Oregon’s Abronia released their third full-length recently on Cardinal Fuzz\Feeding Tube Records. Combining a bluesy darkish folk with some classic western desert twang for a unique sound. The music at times is almost reminiscent of Siouxsie and the Banshees before it winds up in surf rock territory. There’s so much going on here. Combining so many different elements into a cohesive sound that is uniquely their own. There is a heavy reliance on slide guitar as well as a fair amount of tribal drum pounding. There is also a bit of classic 80’s art rock feel in some tracks as well. Definitely worth checking out. There’s something here for everybody.
