You really can’t go wrong with 10 000 Russos. Another fifth album release from Fuzz Club. The Russos provide a kind of unique experimental motorik beat based music. The sound on Superinertia was aided by the addition of synth player Nils Meisel who really helped open up the sound of the band. I probably was not as onboard as everyone else was with their popular Kompromat LP but this one really has my ears perking up. The sound is much cleaner and less distressed (no pun intended with their third LP title) but you still get that strange combo of part The Fall and Kosmische dance music and the more experimental tracks like the 14 minute Mexicali/Calexico are the things late nights at Fuzz Club festivals are made for. Almost a late-night rave kind of vibe, I can see this track playing during a slow-motion party scene in some futuristic movie. I have to confess I missed out on the vinyl of this release. I waited too long for it to get to my usual distro and slept on it. So hopefully it gets a repress if I can’t hunt down a copy. I have a feeling you may be seeing this on a few top lists at year’s end.

Released by Fuzz Club you can still get the CD I believe.
