Sydney’s Grinding Eyes crank up the volume on their second full length released by Little Cloud Records and Acid Test Recordings.A strong combination of JAMC, garage and shoegaze permeate their sound. The sound is a bit reminiscent of Magic Shoppe in that, while not psych music per say, it certainly picks up on a bit of that vibe while been a bit more straight ahead rock. Layers of guitars and effects lull you into a trance like state whether it’s on the faster paced tunes or when they slow things down on tracks like “Monochrome” ot Focus Ellipsis. The songs on this LP are a great fit for rocking out on a drive.or to get you going for a night out. I found myself putting this one on much more than I expected as it’s a bit addicting.
