The anticipation for this release has been building for some time and now that release pre-order day for the vinyl is here it’s time to give the FLAC files a good listen. The hype is justified. If you are a Kikagaku Moyo fan this is going ot be right up your alley. I had not taken the opportunity to get a taste of the 2020 digital release and here we are getting an addition track “Hopsa-japapé”. Primal drumming, fair doses of sitar, some solid Kraut rock influences, hypnotic guitars and flute weave an intoxicating and trance inducing tapestry of sound. The 5 tracks on this LP have a similar vibe and this is one of those LP’s where you are going to want to set aside some time, get yourself into a preferred state of mind and give the whole thing a play or two. Don’t sleep on the vinyl as copies of the Red are already sold out on Centripetal Force and Cardinal Fuzz. This one is certainly a contender for top vinyl release of the year.
