Aquarius Lux is a collaboration between The Wyrding Module and Primitive Knot based in England. This release is a bit hard to pin down and pigeon hole into anything resembling a genre. The music combines numerous elements of electronica, heavy psych, motorik beats, and straight-up weirdness. “White Out In A Black Room” kicks things off with a very danceable beat. layered with freaked out electronics, fuzz guitar, and funky driving bass-line. “Ripped and Starlost” follows with a steady motorik beat and heavy fuzz rhythm guitar. “Priestess of Phobos” follows with a slowed-down funky drum beat and bassline with some echo-laden electronics layered to create a trippy vibe. The title track “The Infinite Corridor” continues in the same vein with a more aggressive and danceable pace. The album closes with “Green Suns And Flying Sharks” which starts off with some distorted sounds resembling something you might hear on early krautrock tunes augmented by some jazzy keyboard and electronics resembling mid-seventies Tangerine Dream with psych guitar and even a cowbell for good measure.

Overall this one is a trip into some strange territories and, while pulling from many influences, charts its own course into a very upbeat and danceable affair like nothing I have heard recently. Look for this one on limited vinyl soon from The Weird Beard
