One of my true disappointments for this year was not being able to head up north to Ottawa to get to this year’s edition of the psych fest at The House Of Targ and to visit Birdman Sound and most of all to finally see The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol live. But alas a basement video had to fill that void for now. You can’t pigeon hole these guys but one thing you can say is they straight-up rock. This improv unit cranks out some killer jams. Played only once and never to be played again as much of their music is Berserkir II is obviously the follow up to volume 1. Four solid tracks culled from the same session as volume 1. Heavy and dense this stuff will bore a whole in your brain. Dual guitars, pounding rhythms, and some trumpet for good measure are sure to take you to other worlds. This relentless pace is made for cranking the volume and this is definatley music for roadtrips.
