Released on Little Cloud and Cardinal Fuzz, Saskatoon’s The Switching Yard crank it up for another powerhouse release following their first effort “Yet Again”. The website description nails this one as a hybrid of The Stooges, Spacemen 3, and The Heads. But they do occasionally venture into Shoegaze land on tracks like “Easy Feeling” and “World Of Shit” Tracklisting is 10 tracks but three of them are essentially brief interludes. It’s on the long players like “Endless Forever” that these guys really shine and expand their sound. But I have to say Johnny’s Down is a standout track for me. It really has a classic punk stooges edge to it. This one a great release for that late-night multi beer party atmosphere.
