Depending on where you live you better grab this one while you can. I’m not sure I agree with some of the descriptions of Krautrock or Spacemen 3 on this one though perhaps tangentially. It really reminds me more of King Buffalo or something like that. A touch of blues influence over straight up rock but its what lies underneath that makes this one special. Throw on a pair of headphones and the sub-textures on this one really bend the mind. There’s all kinds of things going on below the surface of the pulsing basslines and heavyish guitars. Pulsing, whirring, oscillating effects that fade in and out. Combining two of their previously released EPs into one album featuring two shorter and three long tracks this one is meant to play loud. Definitely a Friday night record and yet another top quality end of the year release.
