This one is a bit hard to figure out but it’s thoroughly enjoyable. There seem to be more than one side to this band which is quite apparent on this record. The first side is based on their time in the Mojave Desert while the second is while they were in the Klamath Mountains but that’s not to say that each side has a different vibe because they switch it up throughout. Part western twang, part The Damned, part desert rock. Some of these tracks are real psych bangers while others seem as though they might be western soundtracks. If you are into the Spindrift or Federale thing this would be right up your alley or maybe even a touch of Stan Ridgway. It can be deep and dark at times while also being quite experimental.
