coming soon from The Weird Beard, spawned from the minds of Mudhoney’s Guy Madison, Sean Howell from “Steel Wool” and Curt Buchberger of “Solid Statesmen” is this piece of electronic experimentation from Beauty Hunters. Pure vintage analog sound here, sometimes in the vein of the earliest of Tangerine Dream or Klaus Schulze (pre heavy use of sequencers) and sometimes closer to soundtrack work that you might associate with 80’s horror films. Two long pieces here stretching on each side. To be fair there is some sequencing here it’s just not all that’s going on amongst the keyboard work and various bleeps, bloops, and effects. If you’re looking for any Mudhoney influence here you aren’t going to get it on this release. This is clearly for fans of early 70’s analog electronics. This one is growing on me with each listen as I catch some of the more subtle details as the sound manipulates and progresses.

The vinyl on this one is a stunning black swirl on orange and is limited to 250 copies with the first 50 coming with a bonus blotter art rendition of the cover. The release date is February 15th with no pre-orders from The Weird Beard
