Originally released in 2016 as a limited CDR and later pressed as an LP by Captain Beefart Records This fuzz-drenched classic gets an overdue re-release on Necio Records. Based in Buenos Aires, Los Acidos play a classic style of garage psyche with a modern touch. Heavy on the keys and drenched in a clean sounding fuzz guitar. At times you can pick out the Pink Floyd inspiration (think “Money”) on “Blusas” and at times it more of a Stooges vibe on tracks like “El Habla” which is a straight-up rocker. Overall Los Acidos do well to combine classic psyche vibes with a straight-up rock mentality to create something all their own. Definitely wish there was more to this band’s catalog.
