Asteroid No.4 is back with their 10th full-length LP “Northern Songs” highlighting their penchant for classic sixties jangle psych combined with a 90’s indie vibe. Loads of washed-out vocals, harmonies, western twang guitar, and a bit of that classic repeat percussion effect from Spacemen 3. If The Byrds meets Ride meets Spacemen 3 sounds like your kind of thing then you’re going to enjoy this one a lot. Hand Grenade, Juniper, and Swiss Army Myth are standout tracks here. This is an lp you’re going to put on and play all the way through and if you dig any of the tracks you’re going to dig them all. The record is completely DIY for the first time since their 4th record and they should be quite happy with the results.
