Joseph Airport is a quartet based in Cincinnati Ohio and they have been putting out spaced out fuzz since 2014. COSMOSIS is their fifth full length release. I had never heard of anything buy these guys until i was browsing through Bandcamp and took a listen to this one. I promptly ordered.

In Matt Cutter’s words “After years spent recording a slew of songs and dropping more than half of them, we’re incredibly excited for people to hear C O S M O S I S.” “It’s a full-blown rock opera, telling the parallel storylines of Dram and Bram, with an illustrated lyric sheet to follow the narrative. It’s about growth and epiphany and change. It also rocks pretty hard.” – Dowtowndayton.org

Indeed it does rock pretty hard. COSMOSIS recalls a bit of Syd’s Floyd mixed with glam rock and a bit of that classic 90’s psych such as The Purple Outside or Gary Conner’s solo works. Recorded over a five year period the LP features some blistering guitars, retro synths and some grunge-like Sabbath riffs.
