Christopher Laramee’s solo project has released another exploration into sound that again expands the boundries of found sounds, loops and electonica. “A Televison Of Never Ending Sorrow” kicks off with percussive and vocal loops that yield to an ambient loop wash of airy space with some kind of guitar loop weaving its way through the track slow builds through much of its 12 minutes before finally giving way. “Choose Way” follows with what sounds like a brief tape loop amidst a grinding distorted drone. “Theme From Hollow Point Justice” is more of an organ/string drone that filters its volume in a in swells and washes. “Maryland Remains” the other longer piece on the record almost threatens to break out into a song with its strumming rhythm, flutey effects and keyboard pads as it chugs along its path before finally fadin out. A relaxing record that succesfully combines drones, ambience and tape looping. Definately for your more experimental side.
