Cruces De Neón is a three piece post punk outfit from Guadalajara cranking out some excellent riffage that defies any true categorization. The album starts of with a 7 minute banger “Visiones de la Virgen” a percussion and bass driven piece heavy on the fuzz and a punk aesthetic.”Multiverso” follows with a darker slower growler with its deep twangy guitar intro and Sabbath pacing drenched with reverb. “Doppler” follows with its sludgy western tinged tones and a touch of Black Angels and marches on for 9 minutes or so. “Crucifigo” starts of with some interesting electronic effects before ripping into an 11 plus minute assault of elevated punkish riffage. The album closes out with the apocalyptic glitchy “Espacio Temporal” which is a more experimental piece with scraped guitar and vocal samples. Mexico has been a hotbed of psych tinged post punk music of late and this is no exception.
