Brisbane Australia’s Zong traffic in a sludgy kind of heavy space riffage. Not quite heavy psych not really metal but some kind of dark ritualistic kind of fantasy driven space jamming that eventually showcases some killer guitar work. There are four tracks on Astral Lore each with it’s on vibe and pace and yet each following the same kind of theme. Probably best served in a dark smokey room with black lights and your edible of choice. That’s my way of saying I like it but it’s not of this moment, if you know what i mean, which is probably a bit unfair. I have a feeling this translates really well in a live show. Recommended for late Friday nights while the family is away and with high volume.
