Three tracks from electronic trio Arcane Allies and two pieces by space jammers Kombynat Robotron on this split release released by Acid Test through Cardinal Fuzz in the UK and Little Cloud Records (USA) as the two bands prepare for a joint tour. The first three tracks are from Arcane Allies feature “Akut A” and “Akut B”, two pieces that will really get you moving. It almost sounds like a sped up kind of Krautrock with some modern electronics thrown in. Sandwiched between these two pieces is the mellow modular synth exploration of “Nachtschwefel”. The two tracks from Kombynat Robotron are well paced cosmic jams that we have come to expect from these lads. They really don’t produce any bad tracks. I would have to say they are right at the top of my want to see live acts. The 5 tracks on this album will certainly keep the heads bobbing so turn em up!
