Muun Bato is somewhat of a Minneapolis all-star band made of current and former members of some of the classic MSP psych-related bands including Driftwood Pyre, First Communion Afterparty, Flavor Crystals, and others. Their second release, Paraphonic Vapors takes us on a bit of a hazy summer trip. You are gonna get a bit of Syd Barrett mixed with classic 60’s jangly pop-psych and straight-up indie rock. But mostly what you get is a laid back airy vibe highlighted perfectly by the outstanding final fourteen-minute track Agamemnon/Super Florescent which provides us with a bit of a kick at the end. “Smoke Vision” and “Corn Woman” are also standout tracks The album is well-produced and recorded and the vinyl looks great. I was happy to be able to pick up a nice hand screen printed copy at their fantastic 7th St entry release party show.

The album is out on Little Cloud Records and Cardinal Fuzz Records (UK) in a couple of variants, Translucent Blue w Orange Splatter and Opaque White and Orange Hand Pour.

At the time of writing, there is one hand made sleeve available on their Bandcamp page
